A3 Apex (standard) Aquarium Controller System - Neptune Systems

The A3 Apex is the latest evolution of the popular ApexEL system of days past. While it is a fully capable control and monitoring system, it hits a middle-of-the-road price point by only focusing on the most critical features that reef tank owners need to be successful and embraces the fluid monitoring upgrades we see across the entire A3 series

What an Apex A3 can do out of the box

• pH: Monitor and control your aquarium pH with the help of Energy bar by toggling on-off a Calx, Refugium lighting, and dosing selective addatives.
• Temperature: Monitor and Automate your tank temperature with the help of Energy Bar using Heater, cooler and Chiller (up to 7Amps of max current on individual outlet ) 
• 1-Leak detection Sensor: Protect your floors by placing this sensor inside your aquarium stand or any other flat surface where an overflow may cause issues. If water ever touches the sensor, your A3 Apex can take a desired SOS action and notify you to check.
• Magnetic Optical sensor: 

1. Use it for water level monitoring of your sump or your Display tank. Toggle emergency response automatically and get instant notification for the same.
2. Use it in the skimmer cup to turn off skimmer power in the event of a full cup to avoid gunky skimmate overflowing back to your aquarium.
3. Add an additional Sensor and a PMUP or any pump controlled via 24v port or EB outlet to run an full fledge ATO.

• DOS qd: Continuous duty dosing pump for Addatives, can be used for Calx or auto water change
• AFS: Automatic Feeding for Pellets and Flakes
• Pmup: Utility pump for maintenance, feeding Reactors or paired with MOS Optical sensors for auto-top-off
• FMM: Module to use all sensors related to water - FS Flow sensor, LLS Liquid Level Sensor, MOS Magnetic optical level sensor, LD3 optical Leak detection sensor, & LD2 analogue, SV1 Solonid valve.
• FMK: Fluid Monitoring Kit Includes FMM and 2x 1/2" Flow sensor and a 1" Flow sensor as a discount bundle
• PM1: For expanding an additional pH probe or an ORP probe with an extra option to add a temp probe and an IO port
• PM2: To add a port for the salinity probe (port included with A3pro) with an extra option to add a temp probe and an IO port
• PM3: Expands all apex for a port to connect the Dissolved Oxygen Probe with an extra option to add a temp probe and an IO port

• COR: A medium/large, smart, quiet, and efficient to run Pump.

What an Apex can do for you:

• Instant Notification: Take peace of mind knowing the Apex is watching over your aquarium. The Apex will alert you via a mobile notification, email, or even sound alarm should parameters fall outside your desired range

• Action with Automation: Knowing about an issue before it becomes a problem is half the solution, but Neptune takes you further. With Apex control, a broken heater can be automatically shut off, turn off flow in case of a leak detection or a drop in pH can trigger buffer dosing. The possibilities are endless.

• Record of Reliability:  Every Single action is logged in your apex, can add manual test kit results to compare time and correlated parameters. Program your maintenance schedule, and Apex will notify you based on your calendar. 
• Heartbeat in a power failure: Apex will instantly notify in case of a power outage, even if an active internet connection is lost. In a power outage, Apex can automate and run essential Life support with an Energy Bar, such as the return pump, wave makers, and skimmer, to extend the longevity of backup power. 
• Electronic monitor and protection: Power information is regularly monitored, so you now know when your pump, skimmer, powerhead, UV, or any other device is not operating normally, and an alert message can be sent (requires EnergyBar,  included in A3 & A3 Pro)
• Balanced Chemistry: With the help of Trident, it can test for ACM (for Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium) and with DOS qd or Versa, it can run Trident-based automated dosing with variable dosage based on tank needs from parameters acquired from Trident. Apex can control effluent Dosage from Kalkx or Calx based on Trident results. 
  Trident NP (for Nitrate and Phosphate) can be automated for Controlled carbon dosing, Sulphur reactor, GFO reactor, etc. or Increase photo period of the refugium. It can also reduce feeding with AFS or AF4. 

• Automation of Complex Equipment: Apex can be an assistant, taking over and handling your complex tasks.

2. Automate pellet or flake feeding with Neptune system AFS and Frozen feeding with Ind-aqua AF4

3. Running Solonoid on CO2 for a Calcium reactor by pegging the pH inside your reactor (secondary pH probe and PM1 Module), automatic effluent dosage with DOS or controlling a DC recirculating pump.

4. Controlling ORP levels for clear water quality by controlling the Carbon reactor or an Ozone generator (ORP probe and PM1 module included in A3pro). 

5. Monitor your flow rate in UV and automate your pump speed with Apex for optimal UV performance. It can also schedule UV for different flow rates for Protozoa and algae/bacteria, with active flow rate monitoring

6. For things outside the aquarium, it can control cabinet lighting based on switches used with the Breakout box. It can also give access to virtual buttons in the dashboard or Physical switches to perform any task with the Apex Toggle box
